What’s the widest tyres and wheels that you’ve managed to fit?

wider rims make the tyres wider.

It’s just the way it is, you’ve bought a pure road bike. All my bikes can take a a large tyre because they’re either cyclo-cross or MTB. My new tourer takes 50mm if I should choose.

Yeah I read that. I was wondering if a wider wheel would make a big difference. Clearly a wider wheel will affect the width of the tyre but by how much I’m not sure. Having not upgraded any wheels for some time I’m still rolling around on narrow rims.

28mm is stated as largest
28mm is stated as largest tyre. You maybe lucky and squeeze a 30mm tyre.
