    I tried a similar pair from AliExpress but they were really badly made. A crack developed from just tightening up the stem bolts to 4nm so I got my money back (despite the manufacturer claiming it was just a surface crack).

    The risk of counterfeit is too great for me.

    Below, a vid of a mechanic snapping fake bars with his bare hands. He may be very strong, or be stressing the bars in a direction they’re not designed to take loads on, but it’s not a good look.

    Somr stuff is legit, really well made, but there’s a ton of wafer thin rubbish too. Most of it comes from a number of factories and is just resold.
