Carbon seat stay repair

    The seat stay on my carbon frame has fractured.  I have looked into this and their are several companies who claim they can repair this.

     

    1. Is this safe? Same strength etc.

    2. Anybody have any experience of carbon repairs?

    The ease of repair depends on
    The ease of repair depends on where the break is, if it’s towards the centre of the stay then a fix can be a fairly simple job. The cost depends on if you want the repair to be invisible and pretty or just effective. A crude but effective repair is simple.

    I have several club members

    I have several club members who can attest to carbon frame repairs by Craig Calfee here in the states. One is several years old and still looks and rides, as he claims, like new. Check Yelp. Get before and after pictures of the repair work. Ask for references so you can question the rider/customer their opinion of the repair.
