I am chuckling to myself quite heartily as I look at the ads, coming as they do just weeks after Willier bikes made the news for all the wrong reasons (coincidence?)
Willier are disgusted that their bike was modified for ‘mechanical doping’ in the world champs, but they push out ads featuring their bikes winning up Alpe d’Huez by Pantani.
Mechanical doping = BAD
Blood doping = perfectly fine to use in advertising copy
