As the title really, as members of team road.cc where would you like to see the club go?

We’re working on some great ideas in the background but all suggestions welcome in the comments sections below.

    cheers

    Stu

Joined the club, bought the jersey, got extra socks, can’t use card anywhere. (Did avail of some mail order offers though.)

At this point can’t see me renewing.

(Not even an option to join under Cycling Ireland.)

I would have to agree with Kwi- any chance of some sort of link up with Cycling Ireland in the same vein as British Cycling?

Although to be fair, despite requests from Road.cc when the club was set up, I didn’t send any details through of any favourite shops, coffee stops etc from over here that would allow you to try and organise some sort of deal and I’m guessing other riders from Norn Iron didn’t either (or maybe our business owners aren’t as open to special offers as those across the Irish Sea!).

There was one hint back last year that someone in Road.cc with Irish connections was interested in sorted out a Ride Out but that seemed to fizzle out as well.

I think the ‘best’ thing I’ve seen and experienced was the revolve 24 event in with fellow road.cc people.  Why not do more of this, there are quirky events all over the UK taking place, cross/enduro/overnight/brevet/bog cycling etc etc…. send a scribe up and offer road.cc club members the chance to ride with the team.

We’re all cyclists so, whatever is offered for me really has to be around actually incentising riding or training, that for me holds the best value.

What about opening up blogs written from road.cc members, I know Upham’s always got something on the boil you could pitch the blog as ‘road.cc club member XX’ writes about their experience of this or that mini adventure. Obvs the ‘writing quality’ may be lowered but you can always stick some sort of disclaimer on there, or even edit the writing before going live.

Oh and more member only competitions!
