Garmin trouble!

    I updated the software for my Garmin 510 this morning and now it won’t bloody work!  It turns on and says it’s installing profiles and then turns off.  This lasts about 15 seconds.

    I’ve looked at the manual and the Garmin site but nothing I’ve tried – re-set, etc – makes any difference.  And, yes, it’s fully charged.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks for the replies.  I’ve now done a proper reset – holding down all three buttons then just two – and it works!  I have to re-calibrate all the sensors, but at least things are working again.

    Usually you can hold down some buttons and then it will do a reset and the everthing will work again. I don’t have a 510, but on the 1000 you hold all three buttons down for about 10 secs and then it work.

    Bummer Sounds like one for

    Bummer 🙁 Sounds like one for Garmin support. They do usually get back to you in a reasonable time in my experience.
