    Hi team,

I have a relatively new set of 175mm bb30 FSA SLK cranks but even with the correct wavey washer and crank bolt tension the left arm has a little play in it. I’ve added more spacers but that just pre loads the bearings and causes the cranks to be unable to spin freely. LBS said they had no idea!!!!

    Regards

    Si

By the sounds of it, it’s the same problem I had with these cranks, which as mentioned above, is the metal insert in the non-drive side crank arm coming unbonded from the carbon of the arm. If they’re relatively new I’d be going back to whoever sold them to you for either a refund or a replacement. FWIW I got mine replaced with a set of the newer BB386evo SLK cranks and had no problem with those.

Iirc FSA seem to have a bad reliability reputation with their carbon crank arms separating from the spindle. I think it was FSA anyway… :/
