Firstly apologies if this is a stupid question but the paint on my alloy handlebar has started to flake/chip under the stem faceplate and I was wondering if this is anything to worry about? or is this just general wear and tear?

The bar is only 12 months old so I’m reluctant to change it so soon. The bar still feels solid but as it’s a main stress point I thought id best get some opinions on it.

As always thanks for your thoughts/advice đŸ˜‰

    I wish i could say I’d done
I wish i could say I’d done it too tight as that might explain the problem, however it’s only been torqued to 5NM. Looks like it’s time to order a new bar ;(

Are you the hulk and tightened it to 59373&63728 million NM of torque :/
Take it to a bike shop coz a flaking handlebar sounds like it is knackered….
