I am struggling to send a course from GC to my 810. Getting a message saying can’t send at the moment. Please try later.

Any ideas? Anybody else had this?

    Thanks

I get all sorts of errors
I get all sorts of errors when trying to send courses to my Edge 500 from GC, or it opens Garmin Express which then tells me it has synced except the course isn’t actually on the device.

I’ve resorted to using this approach http://skangerland.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/how-to-export-and-save-route-or-track.html which downloads the GPX file to my desktop and I then copy and paste it into the Courses folder on the Garmin myself.

A pain, but that works for me.

    Garmin e-mailed me back
Garmin e-mailed me back within the time they said they would. The advice they gave (empty the browser cache) worked and all is now well.

I used to switch the pc on, connect the Garmin, make a cup of tea and by the time I got back the ride was up on GC and sent to Strava. Now I get some message saying I need to download Garmin Communicator, which I have had for years and always used to work perfectly, and even when I redownload and reinstall it, I get the same message. Turning the pc off and on again fixed it last time.

GarminCommunicator relies on something called NPAPI to be active in your browser. That is ancient technology and pretty much all browsers have discontinued support for it.

    The answer is GarminExpress

    Cheers. I have no problem
Cheers. I have no problem up-loading rides (happily) but could not load a route to the 810. I had to resort to listing the village names on the route and following signs posts. Only went off route once in 60 miles so not too bad but less convenient!

I had a similar problem, for me it started recently when it wanted to update my 510.

Garmin support were useless, but if I logged into GarminConnect there was an icon for the queue (think it looks like a pair of arrows). There were a lot of things in the queue, each with an x next to it to delete it from the queue. I deleted everything from the queue and tried again, and then it seemed to work.

    No problems since…
