Trek 5000 series with a twist but what is it exactly?

Thanks to all those that helped ID my last post!

Here is another one, we have many Trek 5000 series bikes and they are pretty easy to identify due to TREKs detailed back catalogue however this one escapes us!

This was used in the filming of the upcoming Lance Armstrong Biopic, at first glance the frame looks pretty standard, carbon fibre, correct geo etc. It has the Aero forks of later models but the internal brake cable routing on top tube doesn’t fit, nor does the rear hanger.

Any info or leads would be much appreciated!
