I am looking at upgrading my Felt Z100 for a carbon road bike.
I am looking to utilise the Cycle 2 Work tax allowance. I am in the fairly unique position of being able to fully operate the scheme for my employer, so I can buy anywhere within the guidelines.
So far I have managed to create somewhat of a shortlist.
Vitus Vitesse £1,199 – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/vitus-bikes-vitesse-road-bike-2014/rp-prod107028
Ribble Gran Fondo £1,254 with Ultegra spec’d http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sed/road-track-bike/ribble-gran-fondo-shimano-equipped?part=SE14RIBSHIMGFONDO&sub=conf_SERW#Wheels
Planet X Pro Carbon £1,000 SRAM Rival http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FBPXSLPRIV22/planet-x-pro-carbon-sram-rival-22-elite-road-bike
Planet X Pro Carbon £1,100 SRAM Force/Rival http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FBPXSLPSRFOR/planet-x-pro-carbon-sram-race-limited-edition-road-bike
Planet X Pro Carbon £1,200 Ultegra http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FBPXSLPULT6800/planet-x-pro-carbon-shimano-ultegra-6800-road-bike
I’m 6ft3, so looking at 58-60cm frame sizes.
Depending what way the wind is blowing depends which one is at the top of the pile at any one time.
Any tips or experience of these or alternatives.
Thanks
