Whyte Dorset

Hi all, After a substantial amount of research into road bikes that not only lend themselves to long rides in the british countryside, but also light-touring further afield, I'm looking at buying the Whyte Dorset 2014. My only reservations at this stage are potentially the weight, and the description of it as a commuter. Otherwise, i think it looks like it has decent spec (apart from the bottom bracket...) and good reviews: /content/review/110792-whyte-dorset-commuterroad-bike ; /content/news/94260-just-whyte-dorset ; /content/buyers-guide/121928-10-best-road-bikes-under-%C2%A31000 Before I split with my hard-earned £1k I thought I'd ask if anyone has any thoughts, particularly positive/negative reviews/experiences, or better suggestions. I'm 5'10", 76kg and a relative newbie to road cycling. Many thanks for your help!
