Giro D’Italia 2014 – Pick Three Italians

    We’d better get this underway… in the wise words of drheaton, the rules:

    Pick three Italians for 50 credits or less, combined fantasy score at the end of the race wins. Only riders making it to the end of the race count, if your’s quits mid race, they get no points

    I’ll also add in an additional caveat; where there are two teams the same, the tie-breaker is who entered their team first. The teams are:

    Dave Atkinson: Pozzovivo, Colbrelli, Frapporti
    STEVESPRO: Paolini, Malori, Appollonio
    TERatcliffe26: Pozzovivo, Scarponi, Barbin

    debbieg: Aru, Appollonio, Oss

    Even if he did, I doubt it would be enough, presuming Pozzovivo and Aru will finish at least top 15 tomorrow and continue to score classification points.

    Latest update, going into the final two stages. Gmancervelo looking good, but of course a DNF/S from Malacarne could change everything. I’ve snuck into the top ten, and am eagerly awaiting the Cataldo-Bongiorno-Pozzovivo podium on the Zoncolan tomorrow.

    Arsene (ponzi), Natalia (Gatto) and Gman (malacarne) to fight it out for the finish, with Chicchi and Rosa out Chokofingerz would place 4th and I assume I finish 5th on tiebreak,

    Shaken things up a bit… out tonight but I’ll see if I can squeeze in another update. Poor john rutherford will be well out of contention. Four people had Santaromita; he’d got 100 points at the last update so it will effect scores considerably. As things stand, looks like it’s going to be between backflipbedlam, nata1ia, Twybados and Gmancervelo

    I’m still waiting on Bongiorno to do his solo breakaway win. Looking unlikely now 🙁

    Update going in to the last
    Update going in to the last few stages and it’s tight at the top. Withdrawals are taking their toll and a few other riders like Cataldo have started to show themselves. But I wouldn’t like to call the eventual winner.

    Incidentally, nine of the top ten have Aru and six have Pozzovivo… :B
