I can’t seem to find a definitive answer and i’m convinced that the footage would help me improve.

Its a safety question –
Its a safety question – anything reducing safety is a No. Can it come off easily etc….question was raisied with riders using AssSavers in last years MSR. Answer was NO – they shouldntve been allowed.

No AssSavers – mudguards – things clamped onto bars (big question on Garmin mounts), cameras etc etc.

Its at the Commissaires discretion though, if something overides the reasoning (or if they even see it prior to the race start).

At a Cat 3 crit I was asked to remove a small stuffed toy (Wyle.E.Coyote) from my helmet. Subsequently lost it. Had been my mojo for nigh on 20 years. I hate you, British Cycling, and all you stand for. Bastards.

Having do a quick bit of
Having do a quick bit of googling. I’m going to say no to their use anywhere on the bike, body or helmet. Seems to be the answer. They have even been banned from MTB racing

From the British Cycling rule
From the British Cycling rule book appendix 1:

2. Technical Innovations
1.3.004 Except in mountain bike racing, no technical
innovation regarding anything used, worn or carried by
any rider or licence holder during a competition
(bicycles, equipment mounted on them, accessories,
helmets, clothing, means of communication, etc.) may
be used until approved by the UCI. Requests for
approval shall be submitted to the UCI, accompanied
by all necessary documentation.

AFAIK the UCI haven’t approved them, so the answer is no.
