“Cycle pranksters could have killed teacher

A teaching assistant could have been killed after riding in to a rope deliberately stretched across a promenade. The rider was rushed to hospital after being caught across the throat while riding across Egremont Promenade New Brighton. (Liverpool Echo today).

Are cars note nought to cope with? As for the headline in the paper stating pranksters, I think perhaps this was more serious than to be called a prank!
