Tour de San Luis Stage 4

Today’s stage is a high mountain stage with a Cat 3 11.7 from the finish and then a Cat 1 at the end of the stage . It may not be a summit finish proper, though. There seem to be a couple of kms to go after the summit to get to the finish line. Depending on how the race organizers report the resutls of the KOM, the KOM points may or may not count! 🙂

    Here’s our current leaderboard:

    stevemarks 197
    lucas 169
    TERatcliffe26 167
    northstar 129
    Dave Atkinson 110
    Twybaydos 108
    stumps 98
    enrique 84
    Hilltown_Ian 76
    livestrongnick 72
    Ghedebrav 68
    STEVESPRO 79 40
    ray silvester 19

By the way, unfortunately, Janier Acevedo dropped out of the race yesterday:

9 points on a mountain top finish when you have Nibali,J-Rod,Betancur,Anacona,VandenBroeck,Amador and Diaz is a shocker although it might show just what sort of talent they have in South America right now(and I’m not talking about the Chicarita’s!!).

Time Trial today and I’d say a Phinney-Malori 1-2 looks likely

Knew it……Didn’t pick either of them though!!

    lucas, thats very honourable
lucas, thats very honourable of you but i suggest you stay and play the game, its not for any prizes and just for fun. Its obviously been a mistake so as far as i’m concerned you can carry on mate.

woohoo, stage win ! shame its not in the full comp. I normally average one stage win a year so looks like i’ve used it up !

The Lucas scenario doesn’t effect me but i go with what other people have said, its just for fun and let the results stand imho.

Unless of course Lucas wants to fall on his sword.

Congratulations on the win, stumps. I’ll take the disqualification, of course. For some reason I had Quintana at 28.1 credits, I’m not sure why? The sad things is I was really happy with my team and was wondering why no one had picked the folks I did. Anyways, as its been said, all in good fun, and I’ll take the relegation! It was nice while it lasted 🙂

You’re both right. Lucas was the last team in and I didn’t catch it. What a nightmare. I can only hope it was just an honest mistake but obviously it would be unfair to keep the team in the competition. Well, now I really, really (!) appreciate what Dave has built! #o Bring on the TDU! 🙂 And the final three stages of SL! 🙂 After this debacle, I need a beer! 🙁 And a break! :(

It’s just a fun game Enrique, don’t sweat it, I’m fine with leaving Lucas in the game and when he wins, we all know it was down to administrative error.

    😀

I agree Lucas will probably win, so as a spoilsport I went and looked at why.

I’m afraid Enrique you may have messed up, I believe his team is over budget 163 I make it.

Sorry Lucas if I got it wrong, but couldn’t understand how you got all those big guys in your team.

    I hope I am wrong!

    First things first. Where
First things first. 🙂 Where would you have rather been? In Cadel’s shoes yesterday in Australia or in Nizzolo’s in Argentina? 🙂

Once that is settled, feel free to peruse the profile for the stage.
