Cleaning Question

Quick one. I’ve got a carbon frame (Trek) with the non-glossy finish (feels more ‘plasticky’ than shiny paintwork). When I’m cleaning it, road grime seems to be really stubborn on it. I’ve got baby wipes but they are having little effect. It’s even to the extent that the muck on my hands from cleaning the drivetrain then gets on the frame and is difficult to bring off. Water and elbow grease gets most of it, but still leaves a faint smudge. What should I using/doing?

I use two different Muc Off’s
I use two different Muc Off’s to protect my bike.

    Silicon Shine

    Silicon Shine – 500ml

    Bike Spray

    Bike Protect – 500ml

Best thing I have ever tried, although a can only lasts two coats on the trike, but one coat lasts me a few months and in that time, I’ve cleaned it around 6 times

Have you tried muc off bug
Have you tried muc off bug and tar remover?
I bought it for the car but used it on a stubbon stain on the bike and it removed it in seconds.

I’d recommend doing a test area first under the bb just to be 100% sure it doesnt damage the surface finish. My experience of it has been very good. A little goes a long way.

I also polish my bikes after cleaning and i find it means i don’t use the bug spray as frequently

    Spray Mr Sheen on after
Spray Mr Sheen on after you’ve cleaned and dried it. I’m not joking, it really makes it easier to clean the next time.

I have a similar problem with my supersix – has a matte finish and comes back from dry rides with dust clinging to it. I’m going to give it a bloody good clean then a coat of this stuff to see if it helps:
