Greetings all,
I am new to the forum so apologies if this is a repetitive question.
I am getting a tattoo done next week on my right calf. I love my cycling and have decided upon a simple design which is the swirly logo you see on the telly for Vuelta a Espana but with no words. My other idea was to have the tour de France logo, but with the “Fr” replaced with an “L” and the “e” with an “s” so it will read “Tour de Lancs” ( as in Lancashire) and replacing the yellow circle with a red one.
However, and these are my questions:
1) Would either be a bit of a faux pas in that there is no chance in me ever participating in either event (not that the “Tour de Lancs” exists).
2) Is my Tour de Lancs idea going to get mistaken for an homage to the cheat Lance Armstrong.
3) Should I not give a monkeys because I like both designs. Thanks for your attention and I welcome constructive thoughts. Please don’t turn this into a debate about tattooing itself as I already have one. Its just about the designs. I was all ready to go until a colleague made the point that only real participants should really get a comemorative tattoo eg Iron man triathletes, Olympic games contestants etc etc
Anyway, Cheers and Happy Cycling !!
