So I’m in the market for a new bike. Currently have a specialized secteur triple, entry level bike. Gears etc are getting a bit worn so looking to up-grade. Have seen the ridley phaeton 7d5

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ridley-phaeton-7d5-road-bike/rp-prod104912

It states it has tri specific geometry. Might sound like a dumb question but will it feel massively different from my secteur (fairly upright riding position), it has quite a long headtube, like the secteur so to my simplistic mind it will feel quite similar, but I’m also aware tri-specific probably means low aero profile position.

Any advice would be very welcome

    Thanks

    Ian

Sorry I can’t answer your question directly – but for what it is worth, I have a Ridley (Fenix, normal geo) and love it.

Be very careful on the sizing as Ridleys come in big – I am a large on every other bike, but M on Ridleys (6′ tall)
