SRAM Apex

    Just tried out a lovely Giant today that had SRAM Apex. Being used to 105s the SRAM hoods felt a little small and the brake lever wasn’t as long as the Shimano. I found that annoying but is it really an issue? Any experience to share?

    i’ve used apex extensively
    i’ve used apex extensively and i like it. in my experience you need to take a bit better care of the cables than shimano groupsets as it gets sticky a bit more easily. never had any problems with comfort on the hoods and i have pretty big hands

    the chainrings don’t last as long as shimano ones, in my experience
