Kicking myself a bit for not having the stones to pick Impey over Gerrans a couple of days ago but not that many points in it and he may well hand race lead over to someone else tomorrow. Not the lumpiest of MM stages but still think it’ll take too much out of the pure sprinters to contest the finish.I reckon OPQS will want their turn in yellow come Saturday…
EBH is even closer, only 3 secs back but Chava and Kwia might make a break for it I suppose but doubt if it’ll succeed. Reduced bunch sprint probably but no time gaps. Not having Greipel today has really cost me, went for EBH as I thought he’d be better over the two stages but he’d have to win tomorrow with Greipel nowhere to make up on the points lost today and that is very unlikely.
No changes tonight but glad I brought in Kristoff and at least today Kittel and D van Poppel got some points as well. Could have been worse, could have been Cav, Greipel 1, 2.
A Greipel/Sagan one-two when I’ve got Cav and Kittel……damn

Agreed Dan! Its hardly the organiser’s fault that no-one attacked all day. (Well, Mate did, but you can’t give the combativity prize to someone called Mate, it just doesn’t sound right…)Mate didn’t even manage to stay out in front until the TV coverage started so his was only a half-hearted effort.
Greipel faught for the intermediate points (he appears to be chasing the Green jersey) and the stage win. It was impressive and given the lack of action elsewhere thoroughly deserving of the most combative prize.

Greipel with 64 points just
Greipel with 64 points just fraped anybody who did not have him in their squad today. Also it’s a joke giving him most combative. I am currently rethinking my strategy as regards sprinters and penalty transfers…
