Mountain TT Giro Tappa 18

    As no-one else has made one I’ll get the ball rolling as I’m free this afternoon to watch this one and I think for a TT it’ll be good.

    My team, with one change from yesterday is:

    Vicenzo Nibali (AST)
    Przemyslaw Niemiec (LAM)
    Cadel Evans (BMC)
    Robinson Eduardo Chalapud (COL)
    Tanel Kangert (AST)
    Michele Scarponi (LAM)
    Carlos Alberto Betancur (ALM)
    Franco Pellizotti (AND)
    Rafal Majka (SAX)

    Gone for Scarponi rather than Uran and Kangert as a TT expert. He might win if Nibali lets him; I think it’s between those two but Nibali under pressure to get a stage win.

    One free transfer to add to two for tomorrow to get my team right for the mountains. Debating whether to go for a full GC or mixed GC and mountain point strategy, which it seems will depend on the weather.

    Ive already made mine, Scarponi and Pirazzi in for Evans and Kangert. Gonna leave it like that for tomorrow, then 4 sprinters in for sunday leaving the best combo of guaranteed points alongside them (Evans being 2nd in the points has been holding me back from getting rid, but now is the time)

    184, full house, green arrows and made up a gigantic 3 points on Ter, Scarponi over Uran. I f I’d kept Sammy I would have made over 200 I think and saved a transfer. But there you go!
    Was planning on dropping Evans but a few other people will now. I think his lack of training is beginning to show. Santa also on the slide (geddit?!).

    Looks like my keeping with Sammy may have moved me back up into the top 4 😀

    Edit:
    Actually I’m not sure if I kept di luca plus I’m not sure where niemic finished could be more points 😕

    1,2,5,9,12 plus GC points, not terribly pleased used 5 transfers and think I may have been better off if I had used none.
