NOW, I am no stranger to the power of the internet. BUT I am not claiming sole responsibly for this, it is suspect though.

I was browsing the BBC Sport website for the football scores tonight, when I saw a headline that pissed me off. It read

“Bradley Wiggins loses more time in Tour of Oman”

    Which WAS located here http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cycling/21447785

Here is the best cache I can find (if you can do better, please link it) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BDBc30CCcAE4UyJ.jpg:large

So anyway, getting on my high horse. I sent this tweet to Simon MacMichael who writes alot of news stories on this site

“@simonmacmichael You need to go sort out @BBCSport Focusing on Wiggo dropping back and not Froome chances in headline”

    https://twitter.com/GKam84/status/301818296943144961

Suddenly 45 minutes later, the page now reads

“Chris Froome loses time to Peter Sagan in Tour of Oman”

SO, Who wrote it? How do I find that out? They certainly changed it quick enough, So I’m guessing others must have said something about the headline đŸ‘¿

    Only proves one thing. Beeb
Only proves one thing. Beeb don’t have a ‘cycling reporter/editor’, just a ‘sports reporter/editor’ also covering cycling.

Actually, it also proves another thing – Simon took them out for a pint, sneaked into their office when they went to the pisser and got them to change the headline.

    I saw that article yesterday
I saw that article yesterday too. BBC sport seem to have no knowledge of cycling. Their reports are always full of errors and focused on Cavendish, Wiggins or doping. If Froome even gets a mention he is always referred to as “the Kenyan born Briton”.

I just laughed when I saw it
I just laughed when I saw it on the BBC site yesterday, it really does show how clueless some people are about cycling.

They only write about Wiggins or Cav

Even today there will be some jab in there report about Wiggo loosing out to the big guns and being nowhere in the race rather than it all being about Froome

    Jeeez that is unbelievably
Jeeez that is unbelievably irritating. It doesn’t half annoy me when I see a report done by someone who is clueless about cycling!

I will definitely be sending an angry tweet đŸ˜‰
