Carbon or Aluminium Brake Surface?

I’m looking to buy some new aero wheels. I’d ruled out carbon clinchers due to the general consensus that the braking is more tempermental. Having decided on a pair of Mavic Carbon SLs I’ve been shown some Fuerte Bici 50mm carbon clinchers that look good for the money – £500.

I’m intending to use them for general road riding and club racing. Will the carbon braking be a real problem or is it just in the wet that they become an issue?

Anyone had experiences with Fuerte Bici wheels?

    Advice gratefully received.

I know that their shop is in Beccles, and anything sold in Suffolk is better than anything anywhere else.

Other than that, they just look line fine Far East imports. I think that you choose what colour hubs and spokes you can have.

    Yeah, go for it!

    Thanks for that.
Do you know about the Fuerte Bici wheels in particular; are they okay?
