Campag BB with a Sram Rival chainset

Quick question (with hopefully a straight forward answer)
I have just bought a Wilier frameset with an Italian BB – it has got a Campag Athena BB already fitted.
Can I build this up with a Sram Rival chainset?
    Will it fit?
    Will it perform OK?
    That is all.
    Thanks

    Hi,

    Hi,
Your Campag BB will probably be superfluous (it’s not compatible with the SRAM chainset in any case).
The SRAM Rival chainset should come with its own BB (GXP). It should fit your frame no problem. Same tool required to fit it as the Campag one I believe (a large flat spanner with internally splined teeth).
I’ve got a SRAM Rival compact chainset on the commuter and it’s absolutely fine. Some play in the bearings but otherwise all good!
