Points for JUST BEING in a breakaway? do they exist?

    Today there is already a large 20+ man breakaway. With only the first 4 riders scoring points on the 2nd catergory climbs- will the others score anything for just being ahead of the peloton?

    i have read the points scoring system and am still not sure

    Different for one-day races
    Different for one-day races where some of them have a bonus for being in a break at halfway.

    No, the first 15 over the
    No, the first 15 over the intermediate sprint get points and I think over cat 1 climbs and HC climbs quite a few riders get points but there’s nothing just for being in the break.
