Which size slick tyres to fit cyclocross bike

    Hi,

    I’ve got a Giant TCX cyclocross bike with Kenda Small Block Eight 700x35mm tires. I want to get some slick tires for when i use the bike on the road. Does anyone know how i can identify what size slick tires will fit on the current rims.

    I’ve been using 35mm Schwalbe
    I’ve been using 35mm Schwalbe Kojaks. Comfortable and fast and the same size as your current ride.

    Anything 700c should fit
    Anything 700c should fit unless the rims are particularly wide but you’d probably be safest with 25 or wider tyre. I use 28s on my cx bike, the fatter tyre just looks better on that type of bike as well.

    It generally depends on the inside width of the rim. If they are the standard Giant rims you should be fine with 25 or 28mm tyres.

    I’d recommend wider tyres as they roll just as well as narrower ones and are more comfortable.

    I use Continental sport
    I use Continental sport contact 700×32 on my CX bike when on the roads.
