WTD Luath 700 isla bike Small or large. For beginner to cyclocross/triathlons.

Please email at pagettwright@btinternet.com if you can help. My 12 year old son has just joined a triathlon group and has found his newish mountain bike unsuitable. I think the small frame would be more suitable, but a large frame will probably be ok too.
