O man what a fall!

    During Oman I’ve fallen from about 13th to 115th on the overall and 1st to 13th on the Rest of World league. Though not without some cause.

    There are some changes happening at work and I have been offered my same job in Perth (we are currently in Melbourne) during the last couple of weeks – lots of stress and not a lot of sleep, and then last week we went to Perth to check it out (schools and locations). Normally I have a routine of research and selection on the train (over 30 min each way). I can see how well I do without getting the chance to think about it.

    Very good timezone to watch races, most coverage starts around 8 to 9pm and finishes around 11pm.

    Unless you rely on “live” coverage on SBS TV outside le tour everything else is delayed 2 or 3 hours depending on time of the year

    If you want a 30 minute train ride each day, you will probably end up near a beach, north or south of the city. Note cycling infrastructure is better South but if you commute, you often get headwinds both directions.

    Thank you for giving yourself a 400pt handicap, after the beating you gave me in the Vuelta & the SBS TDF game last year I might need it
