How do you get off the mobile web site!!

    Hi I’m stuck on the mobile site on my phone rather than the proper site. How do I get rid of the mobile site please I want the proper version!!

    the site is cached for anonymous users, ie people that aren’t logged in. this massively reduces the load on the server. cached pages are recreated every quarter of an hour or so.

    If you’re logged in, the pages are fresh out of the oven 🙂

    Sometimes I find that I don’t get the latest topics if I open the forum until I log in.

    Anyone else have that?

    Thanks Dave for the heads up 🙂 my phone seems to push me to the full blown site after a battery pull or when I clear the memory. Yes I run a blackberry – no smart ass comments please 😉

    am enjoying the mobile site – the only thing missing is the banner, credits and adds and that is no big thing. I can look at these from a computer when needs be!! A suggestion though – is it possible to have a link to recent comments/live threads?? That would save me delving through the forum etc to track threads I am interested in.

    Keep up the good work.

    we’ve been trying out
    we’ve been trying out different ways of making the mobile site work. it was detecting devices but that wasn’t working so well. before that it was running from m.road.cc but we had caching issues whereby it would only cache either the full page or the mobile one.

    anyway, i’ve sorted out multiple caches :B (i think) so now we have the mobile site running at m.road.cc, and the main site at road.cc

    both should be accessible from anywhere.

    still ironing out issues but when we’re happy there’ll be a big fanfare and that.
