EBH or Gerrans for stage 1 victory?

As stage 1 is uphill, a pure sprinter like Cav may struggle. . . so I reckon Degenkolb looked good, but hes not riding. So EBH or Gerrans may do well on an uphill finish . . . but is it too soon to put in an effort, and will sky be saving themselves for the TTT?
Maybe I should pack the team with quickstep, europcar and vacansoleil riders as htey will be going for stage wins rather than the GC. . . . I’m getting a headache. . . (|:

I’m thinking Goss – his stated job with HTC this Tour is to go for the unconventional sprints where Cav won’t cut it.

    Doubt Gerrans has the speed
Doubt Gerrans has the speed unless he breaks off the front. Rojas of Movistar just won Spanish Title or Goss maybe? That depends on whether Cav allows his train divert attentions to the Aussie.

Well EBH may not be riding
Well EBH may not be riding either, so that might make your choice easier, he’s got shingles

But it only rises 100m over 2.5km, hardly a mountain
