i think thats true, it has a very stunning look about it ,it’s a brave man who puts all those welds on show when welding stainless. i understand he built some bikes for Rapha team in america http://www.rapha.cc/continental-bike-1-2-3
why is the american custom build bikes so good at the moment?

I agree, it’s a nice way to spend it but in my experience I know I’m going to appreciate a custom frame built for me from a material I can rely on with as many American exotican bells and whistles as I can get. Oh, and yes, I am lusting after one!
Salsa’s nice but it’s off the shelf, not unique – maybe that’s the difference

the Salsa Vaya is pretty similar, and probably a whole lot less cash than a custom built Igleheart, but if you’ve got the cash, its a nice way to spend it.

It’s an on-road-off-road bike called the Rough Stuff.
You will have seen it’s made by Igleheart in the States. He’s a custom builder of some note and talking to the guys on the stand this is something that’s going down well over there. Notable for its’ combination of road wheels, disc brakes and weird flared handlebars, some nice quirky touches also, like dimes as bar plugs. They showed a Rohloff version also on the same stand which looked classy and fast for a rohloff, but way outside my budget. Happy posting
