Helmet for big / hot heads!

Hi guys, quick hot and sweaty question – without wanting to set off the ‘Helmet debate’

At the moment I use a Giro Monza 08 which has served me well.

However, I run pretty hot, and whilst I’m fine when out training add a backpack into the mix and my head overheats rapidly – specially going uphill.

This is such an itchy problem that I’m just not wearing the thing going up hill – which sort of defys the point of having one in the first place.

Can you recommend two things:

1, A Helmet with better cooling than the Monza, without going to Pro level pricing

2, A helmet that works well with big heads / foreheads – my Monza looks like a mushroom!
