I ‘need’ clipless pedals on my urban bike for power on my commute. But, I also need flat pedals for when I just want to grab it and pootle down to the shops..

Has anyone tried the Time ATAC ‘Z’ platform pedals?

    Moving to Shimano would mean
Moving to Shimano would mean changing shoes/cleats as my other bikes all have Time ATAC pedals.. Not financially a good idea. 🙁

Yep I have the M324’s for my commute/winter bike and they do the job and look okay.
