    Just curious:

It’s obviously a great site for GPX files, but how many of you actually subscribe and pay to use their ‘print’ function? Or knows someone who does.

    Ta.

I use it regularly but not
I use it regularly but not the paid services. I like the fact it updates my Twitter automatically.

It is better than Bikely as it allows you to log your training and use regular routes.

I have a group for local cyclists in my area… if many of you use it could we link in a road.cc group and share routes?

I don’t get on with mapmyride
I don’t get on with mapmyride at all, just too much space taken up with adverts etc. The front screen is very busy.

I beleive if you subscribe, much of that disappears, but that isn’t really much of an incentive when the likes of bikeroutetoaster and bikehike have nice easy mapping screens etc.

The paper maps part is not as useful nowadays as it once was, and find I hardly use them at all, despite having some pretty good coverage of the country with Tracklogs (at quite an expense too!) with it’s print functionality.

The joy of digital mapping is using it with my Edge 705, I rarely need to stop on a ride now, unlike the old days of stopping at every junction to try and read a sweaty, rapidly disintegrating map.

i don’t, and i don’t know anyone who does… how much is it to get printed maps anyway?
