    Thanx for the advice chaps
Thanx for the advice chaps was just a bit worried about 3 x my normal daily distance and was wondering if I was over stretching myself.
It is a hilly one hebden bridge over to burnley and back I think its called misty mornings (not sure my work colleagues sorting it out) but I am used to hills living in marsden in the middle of the pennines.Thanx again and any more tips are welcome.

    You should have no problem
You should have no problem managing 100k. A few years ago I did a charity ride from work and one guy borrowed a bike to do 70+ miles. Year later he borrowed another one and did it again.

Just eat and drink plenty and enjoy it……

where is it? is it a hilly
where is it? is it a hilly one? I’d think that if you can manage 100 miles a week then knocking off 60 in a day should be well within your capability. Audax rides are a real mish mash of bikes so if you’re happy and comfortable with yours then there’s no need to worry: there’ll be everything from carbon racers to ancient tourers there if my experience is anything to go by. full mudguards ceased to be a requirement a while a go so race blades will be fine.

if you’re worried about the distance then best to try and get a 40-50 mile ride in over a weekend just to test your legs for a bit longer than you’re used to. And don’t go after it in the first 20 miles on the day and kill yourself! find your pace and there’ll be others riding at the same speed, stick with a group and you’ll make it much easier.
