I am regularly visiting both the Newcastle area and also the London area on business trips. I’d love to try out either track racing or closed circuit racing while I am in the Uk. has anyone got any places to recommend where they also rent out bikes? Pleased to hear any recommendations.

If you’re in London Hog Hill

If you’re in London Hog Hill AKA the Redbridge Cycling Centre is probably worth a visit, It hasn’t got a velodrome, but it has got a closed road circuit. It’s on the north east edge of London. Follow the link and you’ll find a map and directions.

I don’t race and I don’t live in either of those places, but….
Herne Hill is the track in London. However, it’s outdoor, so only open for a limited amount of the year. I understand there is plenty of riding and racing that takes place there.

Not sure which Newcastle you mean (on Tyne or under Lyme)?
