WTD: Cinelli 1R stem

    Hi all,

    I am looking for an old Cinelli 1R stem – that’s the model with the bolt hidden underneath which clamps via a wedge inside the stem.

    I’m after a 110mm or 120mm length in silver and will pay a good price, dependent on condition.

    Cinelli 1R stem
    Cinelli 1R stems always creaked and then seized so you couldn’t undo the handlebar clamp due to the “hidden” design. I had a succession of these due to their aesthetic allure but eventually gave up as I couldn’t stand the noise.

    I’ve got a 1A….
    I’ve got a Cinelli 1A quill stem that is not being used if that is any use to you, I forget the length, but will check it out at lunch if you are interested.
