Cycle security
OnGuard Mastiff chain
The Mastiff chain lock is a 110cm chain of 10mm hardened links connected to an integral lock that uses a similar barrel to Onguard's other offerings. The chain is covered with a woven nylon sleeve and it's long enough to chain up to four bikes together if you're creative, which is a definite benefit over a U lock for garage use. There's no mount, of course, so it's only one to consider around town if you regularly cycle with a bag. or you can wear it holster style if you're a hipster.
Abus City Chain X-Plus 1060
This super-tough chain and integrated lock is a well designed and nigh-on impenetrable portable security solution. You might not like the price, but you can't argue with the performance.
Squire SS50CS Stronghold Padlock
If you're investing in a big chain for your lockup to keep your bikes out of the hands of the thieves then you'll need an equally beefy lock: your security is only as strong as the weakest link. The SS50CS (catchy name) certainly isn't a weak link: it's a well-designed, heavily armoured lock that's an excellent partner to some heavy-duty chain.
