New Gemini Duo lights available in the UK

Third new light system of the year from the Canadian brand

With less than a fortnight until the clocks go back, Gemini’s new 1,400 lumen Duo Light system is now available in the UK for the first time.

Gemini is a Canadian brand that has only been around for a couple of years and this is its third new offering for 2012. The Duo system uses Cree LEDs and the aluminium head unit is very small making it a viable option for helmet mounting. Gemini reckon that head unit weighs just 63g. Of course, you can stick in on your handlebar as normal too.

You get two side-by-side LEDs – hence the Duo tag – and 10 different brightness settings. There are two versions of the Duo. The two cell model (122g for the lithium ion battery pack), with a burn time of 1.5 hours on the maximum setting, is priced at £149.99, The four cell version (229g for the battery pack) has a burn time on maximum of three hours and it’s just £20 more expensive.

Both systems come with a bar mount, helmet mount, head band mount and spare silicone mounting bands. For more details go to www.i-ride.co.uk.
