Win a place on the Fred Whitton Challenge with MuleBar

They've got two to give away if you Like them on facebook...

The Fred Whitton Challenge is one of the founding fathers of the modern sportive scene. It's been running since before they were called sportives, and its 112-mile parcours takes in some of the toughest climbs in the UK including the legendary 30% wall that is Hardknott Pass. It's popular, too, and sold out now for this year, but MuleBar have two places up for grabs if you don't have a ride but would still love to go.

To enter, all you need to do is head over to the MuleBar facebook page and Like it, then go to the Fred Whitton Challenge story and follow the instructions. Easy! Winners will be announce on Tuesday 8 May. Good luck!

If you want to know what it's like to ride the Fred Whitton, here's Dave's ride report from 2011.

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

Cracking picture! Of course, it could never do the ferocity of those hills justice.
