Campaign continues to make steady progress

The latest meeting of the Save the Herne Hill Velodrome campaign has been scheduled for 7.30pm on Tuesday March 22 in the Great Hall of Dulwich College.

The campaign has been making steady progress over the past few months with increasing media coverage and some high profile support helping to generate momentum.

Built in 1891, Herne Hill is the last remaining finals venue from the 1948 Olympic Games. With the creation of the new London 2012 velodrome just a few miles away Herne Hill’s future is envisaged as one in which it will serve as a sporting facility for the local community and potentially act as a feeder to the British Cycling track programme, rather than being a host for major sporting events.

Good news, glad the campaign had a positive result.
