There can’t be too many of you who haven’t seen the YouTube video that propelled Danny MacAskill to fame 18 months ago – 21 million views and still counting – and now, the Scottish street trials rider debuts his latest film, with sponsors Red Bull also hosting an online Q&A session with the stunt specialist.
As reported earlier this week MacAskill unveiled the new film, called Way Back Home, in which he returns to his native Isle of Skye, on the Red Bull website on tuesday, while the Q&A session reveals “how he came up with the daredevil tricks he performs on his journey and his experience of heading back to his home town to pull off the sort of stunts he got police cautions for when he was growing up.”
So here is his latest film in all it’s glory, plus a short video of MacAskill scouting out locations for it.

I must be the only one who thinks these stunt videos are getting pretty tedious. After a couple of minutes I was wishing the berk on the bike would stop bouncing off the picturesque scenery so that I could enjoy looking at it.
Awesome skills from Mr MacA.
Awesome skills from Mr MacA. Brilliant – as ever. Although he’s set the bar so high now that I can’t imagine where he can go to move it all forward.
You may not be the only one who finds it tedious, handlebarcam, but I suspect you might be in a minority – for at least another two videos.
