Video: There are wheelies ... then there are extreme wheelies

Footage from NYC-based Rrdblocks should be filed under 'Don't try this at home'...

There are wheelies, and then there are extreme wheelies. This video not only falls uder the latter category, but should also most definitely be filed under ‘Do not try this at home.’

Uploaded to Instagram by New York City-based self-styled “extreme bike rider” Rrdblocks, it shows a succession of riders popping wheelies as they negotiate obstacles including street furniture, the heads of friends lying in the road and, erm, oncoming traffic.

I think he's probably going to do it anyway.

I can't even do a wheelie like that in GTA V never mind real life. I'd happily trade a few mph average speed for the ability to ride on the back wheel forever. It never gets old IMO. The po-faced don't approve but I pop a wheelie everytime I leave my house. Just don't go ever the balance point clipped in!

You have a point in this. But still, it's so crazy, it's beyond being a moron, I guess...
