Hi all, my winter bike is in a bit of a state and I’m looking to update a few bits and pieces on my groupset this year.

I’ve got a Carrera TDF which is a few years old now. As it’s not a great bike I don’t like to spend much money on it so it’s got a few hand me downs from my summer bike. I basically want it to get me through my winter riding again this year. Updating chain and cassette is pretty straightforward….

My dilemma is that the Carrera is running a Shimano Sora groupset (8 speed) and I have a spare SRAM Rival double chainset which I would like to put on it. I know the thread is correct for the bottom bracket but can I just put the SRAM chainset on this bike and expect everything will work?
