La Marmotte + Etape du Tour?

Hi all I have planned to do the La Marmotte on the 7th of July 2012 (hope it is the 7th) which I have booked a flight for and a campsite in Alpe D'huez. I noticed that the Etape it on the 8th in Albertville. Now it is possible that I could finish the La Marmotte and get myself to Albertville for the start of the Etape the next day and give it a crack. The only problem I have is getting back to Alberville after the Etape! So I was hoping that I could get a lift back from anyone doing the trip after the Etape? Failing that I might just do the final climb.
