WE HAVE A WINNER! VIP hospitality at Halfords Tour Series in Southport on Tuesday

Win yourself a prime position to cheer on Kuota-road.cc!

The Halfords Tour Series is now approaching its halfway point, with the fifth round of ten taking place on Tuesday evening in Southport, and thanks to the generosity of the organisers, one lucky road.cc user will enjoy VIP hospitality with a pair of tickets up for grabs.

The VIP area enjoys great views of the start and finish line, putting you in the thick of the action, and before racing begins you’ll be treated to some fine food, with a free bar throughout to boot.

And with Kuota-road.cc looking to close the gap on teams ahead of them, you’ll be in prime position to cheer the boys on.

Hospitality opens at 5.30pm, so you’ll need to be able to arrive in Southport by then, with the race beginning at 7pm and podium presentations are at 8.45pm. The prize, for two people, includes:

• Exclusive views of the finish line and end-of-race podium presentations

• Buffet Dinner with accompanying wines

• Complimentary bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages)

• Tea and coffee served all day

• A few words from Tour Series Chief Executive, Hugh Roberts or Technical Director, Mick Bennett

• Official Tour Series programme

• Experienced hostess and wait staff to ensure the smooth running of your day.

We’re running a similar competition for all remaining rounds of the Tour Series with the exception of the final round in Woking, so if you live in or near Kettering, Peterborough, Stoke-on-Trent or Chester, watch out for news of VIP tickets for those here on road.cc.

To enter, just put your name down on the comment thread below – normal road.cc competition rules apply, so only one entry per person, and good luck. We’ll be drawing the lucky winner’s name at Tiffin time on Monday.

In the meantime, there are two podcasts online now to help you get the inside scoop on the Tour Series to date – the first, featuring Technical Director Mick Bennett and Endura Racing’s Rob Hayles, can be found here, while another, with Thursday night’s winner in Exeter, Dean Downing of Rapha-Condor-Sharp, is available here.

Simon joined road.cc as news editor in 2009 and is now the site’s community editor, acting as a link between the team producing the content and our readers. A law and languages graduate, published translator and former retail analyst, he has reported on issues as diverse as cycling-related court cases, anti-doping investigations, the latest developments in the bike industry and the sport’s biggest races. Now back in London full-time after 15 years living in Oxford and Cambridge, he loves cycling along the Thames but misses having his former riding buddy, Elodie the miniature schnauzer, in the basket in front of him.

Thanks JJ, must have changed since original info we had.

Sorry, but don't think we can take your comment as entry to the competition though, especially as you'll be otherwise engaged! 3

Sorry Simon, Chester is our home this year. Although Southport would be more appropriate as Kuota is based just round the corner.
