Trek

Trek is one of the biggest bicycle manufacturers in the world. Based in Wisconsin, USA, Trek started producing bicycles in 1976 with lugged steel touring frames. The company was at the forefront of carbon fibre development in the 1990s with its OCLV (Optimum Compaction, Low Void) frames.

Trek has been involved in the professional peloton for many years.

In 2003 Trek launched the Madone road bike which was its professional team bike for a decade before the introduction of the lightweight Émonda in 2014. Trek also developed the Domane bike in consultation with Trek Factory Racing team rider Fabian Cancellara. The Domane uses an IsoSpeed decoupler to combat road shocks and is widely used in one-day classics, especially over the cobbles.

You can buy an entry level Trek road bike for as little as £650 in the form of the Trek 1.2; the ranges goes all the way up to the £11k Émonda SLR 10.

In the UK you can find Trek road bikes at Evans Cycles, CycleSurgey & Rutland Cycling online and you can find their local dealers here.
