So we wished for a sunny #mycyclingweekend on Friday, and it looks like our prayers were answered - for the most part. But those of us who rode into road.cc and Cycle Surgery HQ this morning will be asking ourselves one question: why couldn't the weekend have lasted just a little longer?
Whether we angered the weather gods by asking for too much sun in January or if this is just the way things are at this time of year, we're not sure. But we know it's wet and cold, so let's look back at this weekend's rides to make ourselves feel a bit better.
As always one lucky rider won this week's #mycyclingweekend prize via Cycle Surgery, which was a Park Tool PAW-12 Adjustable Wrench on this occasion.
The lucky cyclist was one Emlyn Cullen whose shot out across some pretty spectacular Irish scenery made us feel all warm and tingly inside.
Congratulations Emlyn, keep your eyes peeled for correspondence from us here at road.cc.
Emlyn wasn't alone in catching some pretty spectacular views this #mycyclingweekend. Gareth Enticott sent us this shot through parting forest which we absolutely loved.
Rafal Hartzhorne, Darren Hunt, and Ian Dagnall all took some pretty wonderful photos of beautiful sunlicked scenery. Much appreciated folks!
But, as is to be expected at this time of year, the weather wasn't all dry and sunny for everyone. Mike Fortgens and Instagram user rgsh11 got pretty muddy out there. We don't think either of them was complaining too much though!
Eria227 and the VC Walcot cycling club went out for a wet West Country ride too, and Twitter user Young Phoagy avoided the rain by heading over the pond.
Remember, it's never too late to get involved in the #mycyclingweekend fun. Just fire up your nearest internet-connected machine, upload a photo to Instagram or Twitter, include the #CycleSurgery and #mycyclingweekend hashtags and we'll see your shots in all their glory!
Fingers crossed we get a bit more of that sun, eh?

Yours worked wonders, but if you insist, I'll hop to it...why the need for extra police? Did the fire brigade bottle it?
