Swift did quite canny on some of the hills in the Vuelta, especially where Gilbert won so i think that influenced the selection.

Good luck to him though.

Cav has been picked out of respect to the rainbow jersey, if nothing else. GT's just putting his road legs back on.

I've got £5 on JTL at 100/1, popped into Willy Hills 3/4 weeks ago for it 1

I am chuffed too for Nikki Harris to be chosen for the womens team.

Also Josh Edmonson for the U23 team and Molly Weaver, both massive talents.

Do you not think it might be a tad difficult for Geriant Thomas to go from 4km team pursuit form to the 267 km road course in the space of 7 weeks? I think he's going to be a real threat in the Classics and future Worlds but not this year.

Having said that, Swift is a strange choice. I agree Millar would have been better.

Right, So Geraint Thomas isn't in the team at all.....But Ben Swift gets a place WTF also no David Millar in there either.

But Cav is going to race....Thats pointless as he'll be dropped right out on the climbs. I see it being a repeat of the Olympics. Everyone around Cav and no-one else racing.

Get your breakaway guys picked now 19

Still in with a chance of a result at the ToB as well. Good luck to him.
